After multiple failed attempts to recreate the experiment that turned Peter Parker into Spider-man and rigorous genealogical research to confirm that I wasn’t Kryptonian, I resigned to cultivate the only superpower I did have: a love of drawing. As a mild-mannered young artist raised on a steady diet of Saturday Morning Cartoons and Cinnamon Toast Crunch, I began the never-ending battle to draw the perfect Superman.
Ever the student of the arts, my education is an ongoing process; I am always challenging myself with new approaches to my work, new techniques (and old techniques!), and a humble want to share what I have learned with others. I thrive on honest, constructive feedback in relation to my work, and continue to hone my own skills by offering that honest, constructive feedback to others. Mentoring and being mentored are paramount to everyone’s artistic growth.
Today, I am an Addy Award-winning illustrator and visual development artist for comics, games and film; I use the fundamental language of visual storytelling to create worlds that have never been seen and characters that forge real connections with an audience and shepherd them through the narrative of the world. Tools that give me the creative advantage in my field are empathy, a command of narrative and story craft, draftsmanship, as well as a fluency in the languages of film, such as cinematography, lighting, and directing.

Art Director and Game Designer for VR Video Game Pinball Lizard, created for Microsoft Azure and the new Windows 10 Mixed Reality Immersive Headsets. Responsible for research and development for the original game design concept as well as the visual language and concept design for the game world and characters.
As Sr. Illustrator, I specialized in creating concept art and visual development for character-driven interactive AR and
VR experiences, in addition to leading a team of talented designers and illustrators in the creation of production assets for print, web, and motion design. I have contributed to projects for Microsoft Hololens, VR Experiences for the HTC Vive, as well as narrative design and sequential storytelling.
As Multimedia Developer and Designer at the Industrial Safety Training Council, I was responsible for designing and executing interactive training modules using Flash, ActionScript and XML. These were used to educate contract and full-time personnel of refineries and petrochemical companies in safety standards and best practices in the industry.
As Senior Visual Development Artist, I was responsible for a wide array of character, prop and environment designs, as well as story art for the Adventures of the Elements educational property.
